Domicilia account deletion
Last updated: 23 September 2026
This page covers the Domicilia app, available on the App Store and Google Play. The data controller is Nelson Alexandre da Silva Lima. You can request deletion in the app, or by email without installing or opening the app.
1. Request in the app
- Open Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
- Confirm with your passkey or the code sent by SMS, and type APAGAR.
Deletion runs 30 days after the request. Until then, you can cancel it in the app when you sign in.
2. Request without the app
- Email privacidade@domicilia.pt with the subject “Delete account”.
- Give the name and phone number on the account and, if the account has an email address, send the request from it.
- Reply when we contact you to confirm your identity before deletion runs.
We answer email requests within 1 month. Once your identity is confirmed, deletion runs immediately, without the 30-day period.
3. Employment contract and subscription
Deleting the account does not end the employment contract, which stays in force for the other party, or the Social Security registration. Paid subscriptions are not cancelled either; cancel them in the App Store or Google Play.
4. Data deleted
- Email address, phone number and password
- Passkeys
- Tax number (NIF), Social Security number (NISS) and address
- Notifications
- Tasks and task templates
- Support requests and their messages
- Pending invitations and contract requests
- Referral links and access grants between accounts
5. Data kept and retention periods
Labor and tax records are kept without your contact details or tax identification, because the law requires them to be kept (Art. 17(3)(b) GDPR):
- Employment contracts and their amendments
- Daily records, working time and day notes
- Issued payslips and Social Security (Segurança Social) payments
- Audit log of changes to salaries and contracts
These records are kept for at least 5 years: the retention period for working-time records (Art. 202 of the Portuguese Labor Code, Código do Trabalho) and the limitation period for Social Security contributions (Art. 187 of the Código dos Regimes Contributivos). The worker's name stays on the contract and payslips, because it identifies the parties to the document.
How your data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy.
